The Agenda Environment: Connecting Without Coding
Connecting to enterprise resources is simple. Using MD2’s Agenda environment, administrators follow on-screen instructions to connect to the enterprise resources they want and then configure them for use on smartphones.
Agenda enables administrators to configure mobile access to individual enterprise applications or combine functionality and information from multiple enterprise applications and consolidate them in a single menu on a mobile users’ smartphone, providing a personalized, instantly accessible set of choices that makes mobile workers more efficient and productive.
Agenda provides direct mobile connection to:
DATABASES.
DB Connect enables smartphone access to any of the leading enterprise databases (Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, IBM DB2, & MySQL). Existing database SQL commands are automatically imported into MD2‘s Agenda so that administrators can easily enable real- time, mobile database access.
REPORTS.
Reports from business intelligence platforms or any other enterprise application (Excel or CSV format) can be imported into MD2 and configured in minutes to be delivered to smartphones. Administrators simply upload a copy of the report, answer some questions and then save the resulting configuration. Each time reports are updated from the enterprise application, MD2 receives a copy of the latest data (email or upload), transforms it, and delivers it in seconds to users for interactive viewing on their smartphone.
XML WEB SERVICES.
MD2 automatically consumes XML Web services (described by the WSDL standard) and transforms them into smartphone-based tasks that let users complete business processes through real-time interaction with enterpise applications.
WEB SITES.
Web Connect talks to HTML Web sites (including sites with intensive use of JavaScript), and lets companies create a smartphone interface to an existing application by capturing the application’s web interface. Agenda guides administrators through the simple steps required to extract the data from those sites and generate a smartphone interface that provides users with secure mobile access to any web-facing enterpise app.
